The Dark Side

There seems to be mixed opinions regarding the new LSD-X4. The fact is that, as of now, no reviews are available for it. We are finishing the prototyping stage and after we're confident we have achieved all of the functionality we are striving for, and ONLY then, we will release 50 units to the first 50 followers of this blog, so please, for your own sake, make sure that your contact information is valid so that when the times come we can find you!

Many are afraid of change. Believe it or not Nova Conceptions is not evil. We're simply offering state of the art technology (to those that can appreciate that!) at an unbeatable price. No, we're not going to get rich off of this. We're not going to over price this. We are going to forever change the standards of light sabers electronics. That's what our company promotes. Nova Conceptions - New Ideas.

It has come to my attention today that The Custom Saber Shop has banned discussion of this subject (The LSD-X4) on their message boards. I'm not asking people to join the Dark Side, this is going to be a really great thing for the community of saber builders and users. There will be plenty to go around and never any shortages.

I'll keep you posted! Thanks to all our followers so far. Your support is what will allow this to happen. I suspect there are some roadblocks ahead, but the ball is rolling fast. We will be initiating a message board soon in conjunction with this blog. So check back frequently for updates. Please feel free to e-mail any question, comments, complaints, and concerns.

  3. I'm personally glad you're here. The other sites are full of "stuck up" and conceited "riff-raff" who take a stab at the noobs every chance they get. If you're not "in" with them, or they misinterpret what you are saying in their forums...you're outa here...or "banned" from discussing certain things. Ridiculous!
Thanks for inviting us onto this blog.

  4. Hey. Don't bash the forums. There are good people on there. It's not for you to judge decide what other people think. The fact is, TCSS Forums are attached to The Custom Saber Shop Store, which is also currently developing a board, so Tim does not want people discussing possibly better products than his, because then he will lose business.

Anyway, Much anticipation on my part. I love the idea of having a configurable board. And not having to convert files to RAW yourself is a big PRO for me. I have yet to master that. Keep the news coming, Jesse!

  5. once jesse sends me the constraints on the sound part of the board i will begin making sound fonts exclusive to this board.

also i agree with badmofo. there is some huge eltism attitude over there. you cant really do anything about it but there is no longer the care and share attitude this community was built upon all those years ago its said to see it go.

as for spreading this board around. most of us know that TCSS and FX has banned discussion of this topic. which kinda is a huge roadblock for us. since FX and TCSS are the two top custom saber websites. i highly encourage all of us to try and spread the word of this awesome soundboard to ears that arent tainted with the TCSS and FX rumours.

i will be spreading word of this board on Random sabers and also on my main saber business front forum: mandalorian mercs

  7. I would like to see this board compatible with the CF sound fonts, or at least have a way to make them compatible.

  10. It's a shame that the TCSS and FX boards are playing it this way. I'm not on either one so I wont pass judgment, but I've also heard that some of them bash those of us on SaberWars. It's not a saber smith forum, but there are plenty of folk on it that do build and many more that buy. I'm actually with NY Jedi. When we're at cons we get asked custom saber questions all the time. If the board turns out to be quality I can guarantee we'll be talking about it to the public.

  11. I really need some sort of tecnical data because if this board doesn't have everything I need I won't get it..

So hope Jesse will answer these questions on the next update:

    1. How many switches does this board need, and is the main switch lathing or mom?

    2. How much voltage does it need/can take?

    3. What LED's can this drive and with what voltage?

    Everything else sounds good..

But I really don't need any sort of "3D" thingys on a soundboard. Also, I REALLY hope (and need) that EVERY SINGLE THING will be editable by the user. Pitch shifting for example must be editable such as in CF.

  12. To have a configurable board would be great, so we'll see shall we. It is a shame the way business comes and goes. It is a shame how ppl feel the need to say loudly there personal opinion on forums and expect everyone to accept their POV.
Fairplay to all saber enthusists and their businesses, regardless of our oinions.
Jesse, mate I can't wait for your board and wish you success.
    Cheers

  13. I did not know it would veto the forums lightsaber. I believe that everyone creates their boards with their own characteristics, it is true that we are in a competitive world but you have to give opportunity to everyone. As I understand the variety is wealth.
I still wait to see the new LSD-X4 .... if not get one I'll settle for some video to see the possibilities.

    A greeting.
